Interoil is pleased to announce that Vikingo's production test on both C5 and lower C7 formations has been conducted as planned and successfully finished last week, and that regular production has resumed.
The lower C7 formation independent production test showed a steady oil stream of 92 bopd and 283 bwpd of formation water. The C5 production test also showed a steady oil stream of 345 bopd without any formation water.
Currently Vikingo is producing from the C5 formation at a steady production flow of 340 bopd. The lower C7 formation is temporarily shut-in until onsite surface facility is connected to a water disposal well to be drilled in the coming drilling campaign.
Meanwhile, Interoil continues its constructive dialogue with the Duya community and workover operations and equipment mobilization and de-mobilization were carried out without any conflict. The process to secure the required legal approval from local authorities and right-of-way from private landowners prior to start using "The Northern Road" is advanced.
Leandro Carbone, CEO, commented: "We are very optimistic with the hydrocarbon potential LLA-47 holds based on the results Vikingo's production test results in either C5 or lower C7 formations. Also Interoil is making excellent progress in materializing "The Northern Road".
