ICC arbitration - extension of date for final award

IOX was this evening informed by the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris ("ICA") that the deadline for publishing the final award by the arbitral tribunal has been extended to 30 April 2014.

However, IOX understands that the final award has been approved by the ICA and is in the process of being dispatched to the parties. IOX therefore expects to receive the award in the coming days.

The arbitration case between Interoil Peru and Perupetro before the ICA in Paris will determine whether Interoil Peru's licenses in Block III and IV in the Talara region of Peru shall be extended due to force majeure incidents that took place in 1998 and 2001.
